IIED is one of the world’s leading independent policy and action research organisations. Its mission is to build a fairer, more sustainable world, using evidence, action and influence in partnership with others. IIED works at the intersection of social and environmental justice. IIED brings together over 140 people, from diverse backgrounds and countries, to deliver high-quality research, analysis and impact. Alongside over 350 partners in more than 60 countries, we generate evidence and build capacity in order to drive change in policy and practice. Working primarily in the Global South, IIED has been applying original thinking to sustainable development issues, linking global priorities with local challenges, for over 50 years.
